Terms of Use
TRUECIAL TERMS OF USE
Effective date: October 8, 2026
Last updated: October 11, 2026
Welcome to Truecial.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Truecial mobile applications, the website at truecial.app, public Truecial pages, and related features and services (collectively, the "Service").
Truecial is operated by:
Senchenko Maksym, an individual, Ukraine.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use Truecial.
The following documents also govern relevant aspects of the Service:
Privacy Policy: https://truecial.app/privacy/
Community Guidelines;
Child Safety Standards: https://truecial.app/child-safety/
Applicable feature-specific rules.
These documents should be read together with these Terms. Mandatory rights and protections established by applicable law remain in effect.
1. Who May Use Truecial
Truecial is intended for users aged 13 and older.
Where applicable law requires a higher minimum age or imposes additional conditions for minors to use an online service, those requirements apply.
Users must provide their actual date of birth during registration.
Users must not:
Provide a false date of birth to circumvent age-related restrictions;
Create an account when they do not meet applicable eligibility requirements;
Impersonate another person, business, organization, or public entity;
Use another person's identity without authorization;
Intentionally circumvent age-related safety measures.
Truecial uses the date of birth provided during registration to apply certain age-related restrictions and features.
If Truecial becomes aware that an account does not meet applicable eligibility requirements, it may restrict, suspend, or terminate access as appropriate and in accordance with applicable law.
Truecial does not currently operate a parental-control or parental-consent verification system.
Where additional legal requirements apply to minors, access to the Service or particular features may be restricted as necessary.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for the activity conducted through your account to the extent permitted by applicable law.
You agree to provide reasonably accurate registration information and maintain the security of your account.
You must not:
Sell or purchase Truecial accounts;
Transfer an account without authorization from Truecial;
Access another person's account without permission;
Use another person's authentication credentials;
Create accounts for fraud, abuse, harassment, impersonation, or other unlawful purposes;
Attempt to circumvent an account restriction or suspension through additional accounts.
You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect access to the Google or Apple account used for authentication.
If you believe your account has been compromised, you may contact:
support@truecial.app
Truecial does not guarantee permanent reservation of a username or its availability for reuse following account deletion.
3. What Truecial Provides
Truecial is a social platform designed for creating, publishing, discovering, and interacting with photo and video content and communicating with other users.
Features may include:
Public profiles;
Photo and video posts;
Stories;
Feeds and recommendations;
Search;
Comments and replies;
Likes;
Followers and following;
Star Connections;
Duo Reels;
Private messaging;
Notifications;
Public post links and external sharing;
One Shot publishing;
Reporting and blocking tools.
Truecial is designed around authentic, camera-created moments and does not provide ordinary post-production editing or filter tools as part of its core publishing concept.
The availability of individual features may vary by platform, age, country, application version, or stage of development.
Truecial may modify, improve, replace, restrict, or discontinue features for operational, technical, security, legal, or other legitimate reasons.
Where applicable law requires advance notice of a material change, such notice will be provided.
4. Public Profiles and Public Content
Truecial profiles and publicly published content are generally accessible to other users.
Some publications may also be accessible outside the application through public links, including:
https://truecial.app/p/...
Public post pages may be accessible without registration.
When you publish public content, you understand that other people may:
View and share it;
Capture screenshots or screen recordings;
Save copies using available means;
Repost or discuss the content outside Truecial.
Truecial cannot guarantee the removal of copies independently saved or distributed by third parties outside the Service.
Private messages and Star Connections are subject to their own visibility rules and are not treated as ordinary public posts.
Public profiles do not eliminate the age-related interaction restrictions described in these Terms.
5. Your Content and Responsibilities
"Content" includes photographs, videos, Stories, profile images, descriptions, comments, replies, private messages, attachments, and other materials submitted through the Service.
You retain ownership of Content that you create and own.
Truecial does not acquire ownership of your Content merely because it is published or transmitted through the Service.
You are responsible for the Content you submit and your use of the Service, subject to applicable law.
By submitting Content, you represent that:
You have the necessary rights or lawful permission to use it;
Your submission does not knowingly violate applicable law;
You do not knowingly infringe another person's copyright, privacy, image, publicity, or other protected rights;
You have obtained any permission required by law to publish another person's image or personal information;
You will not intentionally submit prohibited, fraudulent, or harmful materials.
Users should exercise particular care when publishing information or images relating to children or other individuals who may be vulnerable.
The Service does not independently endorse, verify, or guarantee every statement or item of Content created by users.
Truecial may take appropriate action concerning reported or identified violations in accordance with these Terms, its other published rules, and applicable law.
6. License You Give Truecial
To provide and operate the Service, you grant Truecial a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, technically process, convert, compress, transcode, cache, display, transmit, and distribute your Content to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the Service and the features you use.
This includes, where relevant:
Displaying Content in profiles, feeds, recommendations, and search;
Creating thumbnails and previews;
Processing media for technical compatibility;
Delivering media through storage, server, and network infrastructure;
Making public posts accessible through public links;
Enabling sharing features initiated by users;
Maintaining technical copies where needed for Service operation.
This license does not transfer ownership of your Content to Truecial.
It does not grant Truecial an unrestricted right to sell your Content as independent material.
The license generally ends when the relevant Content is permanently removed from the active Service, subject to limited lawful retention and processing for backups, safety, moderation, legal compliance, and the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal rights.
Content independently saved or shared by third parties outside Truecial may remain beyond Truecial's control.
7. One Shot Publishing
One Shot is a special Truecial publishing mode associated with publishing a moment through the intended first-capture workflow without ordinary retakes or post-production editing.
In One Shot mode, photos and videos are automatically submitted for publication immediately after capture, without a preview, confirmation, or opportunity to retake them. The actual time required for publication to become visible may depend on the internet connection and media processing.
Eligible publications may receive a One Shot indicator, including Truecial's purple comet icon.
The indicator reflects the status assigned by Truecial's publishing system. It is not a certification of the real-world circumstances depicted, the identity of every person shown, or the absolute authenticity of all media.
The One Shot indicator has no monetary value and is not transferable property.
7.1. Regular Publications
Regular publications are not subject to the One Shot deletion-opportunity system.
Deleting a regular publication does not consume a One Shot deletion opportunity.
Regular publications do not count toward earning additional One Shot deletion opportunities.
7.2. Initial Deletion Opportunities
Each user initially receives three available One Shot deletion opportunities.
Deleting a One Shot publication through the ordinary in-app deletion function consumes one available opportunity.
7.3. Earning Additional Opportunities
For every 33 One Shot publications created by the user, Truecial grants three additional One Shot deletion opportunities.
Only One Shot publications count toward this threshold.
Regular publications do not count.
Newly earned opportunities are added to any unused opportunities already available.
For example, after creating 99 One Shot publications, a user will have earned 12 deletion opportunities in total: three initial opportunities and nine additional opportunities.
The remaining available balance depends on how many opportunities the user has already used.
7.4. Using the Final Available Opportunity
Existing One Shot indicators are not removed merely because a user has made three deletions.
The special consequence applies only when the user consumes the final currently available One Shot deletion opportunity, leaving no unused opportunities.
When that happens:
One Shot indicators on the user's previously published One Shot posts are removed;
Previously removed indicators are not automatically restored if additional opportunities are earned later;
The underlying posts remain available unless separately removed;
The user may continue creating new One Shot publications;
Future qualifying One Shot publications continue to count toward earning additional opportunities.
Using 11 out of 12 available opportunities does not trigger the loss of existing One Shot indicators. The consequence occurs when the remaining available balance reaches zero following a deletion.
Truecial may present an explanation or confirmation warning before a deletion that would consume the final opportunity.
7.5. Technical Rules and Legal Rights
One Shot counters, thresholds, and indicators are determined by the relevant Service records and publishing rules.
Truecial may correct technical errors, fraudulent manipulation, or incorrectly recorded activity.
Reasonable technical or interface adjustments may be introduced, provided that material changes are communicated where required by applicable law.
The One Shot deletion-opportunity system governs the ordinary in-app feature. It does not remove or restrict statutory rights to erasure of personal data or other mandatory rights under applicable law.
Requests concerning those rights may be submitted to privacy@truecial.app.
8. Age-Related Safety Rules and Star Connections
Truecial applies age-related interaction restrictions using the date of birth provided at registration.
For these features, users are divided into two groups:
Users under 18;
Users aged 18 and older.
8.1. Recommendations and Profiles
Under the current Service model:
Users under 18 may receive recommended content from different age groups;
Accounts belonging to users under 18 are excluded from automated account recommendations shown to adult users;
A minor's public profile may still be found through search or accessed directly;
Adults may follow minors and like their public content.
These possibilities do not permit harassment, exploitation, grooming, or other prohibited behavior.
8.2. Private Messages
The following restrictions apply:
Adults cannot initiate private conversations with minors;
Minors may independently initiate conversations with adults;
An adult may reply after the minor initiates the relevant conversation;
Blocking and other applicable safety restrictions continue to apply.
8.3. Online Status
Adults are not shown whether a user under 18 is online.
This restriction also applies when an adult visits a minor's profile.
It is intended to reduce exposure of minors' online activity to adults.
8.4. Purpose of Star Connections
Star Connections are a private form of social interaction.
A Star allows a user to express a personal interest in communication without publicly displaying that interest as a like or follow may be displayed.
When two users from the same permitted age group send Stars to each other, a mutual Star Connection may be established.
The feature is intended for general social interaction and communication, not romantic matchmaking or arranging dates.
8.5. Age Separation
Mutual Star Connections are available only within the permitted age groups.
A mutual Star Connection cannot be created between an adult and a minor.
If a Star is sent across the age-group boundary:
It is not delivered to the intended recipient;
It is not shown in the recipient's incoming Star lists;
It does not generate notifications or push notifications for the recipient;
It does not affect the recipient's visible Star counters;
It cannot result in a mutual Star Connection;
It does not automatically become a valid connection if a user's age group changes.
8.6. Protection of Age Privacy
If an adult opens a minor's profile and presses the Star button, the application may display the usual Star-sending animation.
The Star may also remain visible to the sender as an outgoing Star.
However, the minor does not receive or see that Star or any related notification.
This behavior is intentionally designed to reduce the risk of adults identifying minors through the Star Connection feature.
Displaying the ordinary sending response helps prevent differences in Star behavior from revealing whether a recipient belongs to the under-18 age group.
The same non-delivery restrictions apply to Stars sent in the opposite direction across age groups.
These measures concern age privacy within this feature and do not guarantee that a person's age cannot be discovered through information obtained elsewhere.
8.7. Age Transitions and Blocking
If two minors have an existing mutual Star Connection and one turns 18 before the other, their Stars and mutual connection are hidden between them until both are adults.
When a user blocks another user, the relevant Stars and mutual Star Connections between those accounts are terminated.
Attempts to circumvent age-related safety restrictions are prohibited.
Truecial may apply additional reasonable restrictions where necessary for safety or legal compliance.
9. Prohibited Content
You must not create, upload, publish, send, promote, or distribute Content that:
Sexually abuses or exploits children;
Contains child sexual abuse material (CSAM);
Sexualizes minors or facilitates grooming;
Facilitates child trafficking or sexual exploitation;
Contains unlawful pornography or prohibited sexual content;
Credibly threatens violence against another person;
Promotes terrorism or violent extremist activity;
Encourages serious self-harm in a harmful manner;
Targets others with harassment, bullying, stalking, or threats;
Promotes hatred or violence based on protected characteristics;
Unlawfully exposes another person's private or sensitive information;
Impersonates another person for harmful or deceptive purposes;
Promotes fraud, scams, phishing, or theft;
Infringes intellectual-property rights;
Contains malicious software or code;
Facilitates unlawful activity;
Otherwise violates applicable law.
Content may also violate the Community Guidelines even where it is not independently unlawful.
10. Prohibited Conduct and Publishing Manipulation
You must not:
Harass, stalk, threaten, or intimidate others;
Gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems;
Circumvent age, safety, blocking, moderation, or security restrictions;
Interfere with the operation of Truecial;
Deliberately disrupt or overload Service infrastructure;
Distribute malware;
Send spam or engage in deceptive commercial activity;
Artificially manipulate followers, likes, Stars, recommendations, or other interactions;
Operate unauthorized bots or automated accounts;
Scrape or systematically collect information without authorization;
Reverse engineer protected software except where permitted by law;
Abuse reporting or moderation tools;
Use Truecial for fraud or unlawful activity;
Encourage others to violate these Terms.
Truecial's publishing concept is based on media captured through its intended camera workflow.
Users must not intentionally defeat that workflow, including by:
Substituting prerecorded, externally edited, or AI-generated media for a capture presented as originating from the Truecial camera;
Manipulating capture information or timestamps to misrepresent how a publication was created;
Using unauthorized software, modified applications, or technical methods to bypass applicable publishing or integrity controls;
Fraudulently manipulating One Shot counters, indicators, or publishing records.
These prohibitions concern intentional misrepresentation or circumvention of Truecial's rules. They do not mean that Truecial independently verifies or certifies every published image, video, person, or event.
Authorized security research conducted with Truecial's express permission is not prohibited by this section.
11. Reporting and Blocking
Truecial provides mechanisms for users to report supported categories of content, accounts, and conduct.
Depending on the functionality, these may include reports concerning posts, profiles, Stories, comments, private messages, and other interactions.
Users may also block other users through available blocking functions.
Reports may be evaluated using relevant information, available technical tools, and human review where applicable.
A submitted report does not automatically establish that a violation occurred or guarantee a particular moderation outcome.
Knowingly false or abusive reports may themselves violate these Terms.
For child-safety concerns and other serious safety reports:
safety@truecial.app
Where applicable law requires additional notice, complaint, appeal, or redress procedures, the corresponding legal requirements apply.
12. Moderation and Enforcement
Truecial may assess reported or otherwise identified Content and user activity to enforce these Terms, protect users, maintain Service security, and comply with applicable law.
Possible actions include:
Dismissing an unsubstantiated report;
Taking no action where no violation is established;
Restricting Content visibility;
Hiding or removing Content;
Restricting specific functions;
Issuing warnings;
Temporarily suspending accounts;
Permanently terminating account access;
Preserving relevant information where legally justified;
Cooperating with competent authorities where required or permitted by law.
Factors may include the apparent severity of the conduct, available evidence, context, repetition, risk to users, and applicable legal obligations.
Serious violations may result in immediate action without prior warning where appropriate.
Truecial may use reporting systems, technical safeguards, automated assistance, and human assessment as appropriate to its operations.
These Terms do not establish a promise to review every publication or private conversation before it becomes available.
No online service can guarantee that every violation will be prevented or identified immediately.
Nothing in this section replaces mandatory reporting, complaint-handling, transparency, or redress requirements where applicable.
13. Child Safety
Truecial strictly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation.
Users must not create, upload, request, distribute, facilitate, or promote CSAM or other content involving child sexual exploitation.
Where Truecial obtains knowledge of relevant violations, it takes appropriate action consistent with applicable law, platform requirements, and its Child Safety Standards.
This may include removing or restricting access to material, suspending or terminating accounts, preserving relevant information where legally justified, and making reports to competent authorities or organizations where required.
Reports may be submitted to:
safety@truecial.app
For situations involving immediate danger, users should contact the appropriate emergency or law-enforcement authorities.
The full Child Safety Standards are available at:
https://truecial.app/child-safety/
14. Intellectual Property of Others
Users must have the legal rights or permissions necessary to publish or share Content through Truecial.
Users must not knowingly infringe another person's copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, image rights, or other protected interests.
Rights holders may submit relevant complaints to:
support@truecial.app
Truecial may request information reasonably necessary to assess a complaint and may restrict or remove Content where appropriate.
Repeated infringement may result in account restrictions or termination.
Submitting a complaint does not automatically establish infringement.
15. Truecial Intellectual Property
The Service, excluding user-owned Content, may contain software, code, databases, designs, graphics, logos, names, icons, documentation, and other intellectual property belonging to Truecial's operator or relevant licensors.
Users do not acquire ownership of that intellectual property by accessing the Service.
Subject to these Terms, users receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for its intended purposes.
No broader license is granted unless expressly authorized or required by applicable law.
16. Privacy
The collection, use, retention, disclosure, and protection of personal information are described in the Truecial Privacy Policy:
https://truecial.app/privacy/
Users should review that Policy for information concerning their data-protection rights, legal bases of processing, retention, and account deletion.
Mandatory personal-data rights are not waived by these Terms.
17. Stories
Stories are temporary Content.
Under the current Service design:
Ordinary Stories expire after 24 hours;
Reported Stories may be retained for up to seven days for moderation purposes;
Truecial does not currently provide a permanent personal archive of expired Stories.
Limited information may be retained for longer where necessary and lawful for security, reporting, legal compliance, or rights protection.
Expiration does not remove copies independently saved outside the Service.
18. Private Messages
Private messaging is intended for communication between the relevant users.
You must not use messages to:
Threaten, stalk, or harass another person;
Groom or sexually exploit minors;
Send prohibited sexual material;
Distribute scams, phishing attempts, or malware;
Engage in fraud;
Continue unwanted contact in violation of applicable blocking or safety restrictions.
Messages may be processed in connection with relevant reports, security issues, or lawful obligations as described in the Privacy Policy.
Truecial does not represent that private messages are end-to-end encrypted unless the application expressly states otherwise.
Adults are subject to the age-related messaging restrictions in Section 8.
19. Account Deletion
Users may independently initiate account deletion through either of two methods.
1. Through the Truecial application
Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
2. Through the Truecial website
https://truecial.app/delete-account/
The website deletion functionality uses the Google or Apple sign-in method associated with the user's Truecial account.
Both methods initiate the same standard account-deletion process.
Deletion and Recovery
Under the standard process:
The user initiates account deletion.
A 30-day recovery period begins.
The user may restore the account during that period.
If the account is not restored, permanent deletion is automatically initiated after the recovery period expires.
Following permanent deletion, account data and associated information are removed from the active Truecial system, subject to applicable legal and technical limitations.
Limited information may remain where lawfully necessary, including in temporary backups, security records, moderation records, or records required for legal compliance and protection of rights.
Truecial cannot delete copies independently saved by third parties outside the Service.
The deletion of an account terminates the right to use that account.
Certain provisions relating to prior conduct, intellectual property, legal rights, and liability may continue to apply to the extent appropriate and lawful.
Questions and Technical Difficulties
For assistance with the account-deletion process:
support@truecial.app
For requests concerning statutory personal-data rights:
privacy@truecial.app
Nothing in the standard recovery process limits legally available rights to erasure or other mandatory rights.
20. Suspension and Termination
Truecial may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary because:
These Terms have been violated;
Community Guidelines or Child Safety Standards have been violated;
An account presents a material safety or security risk;
An account is used for unlawful or fraudulent activity;
Applicable law requires action;
Applicable eligibility conditions are not met;
Continued access would create a serious risk to Truecial, its users, or others.
Truecial may also restrict affected functionality while assessing suspected violations when reasonably justified.
Actions will be taken in accordance with mandatory applicable requirements, including relevant notice and complaint procedures where required.
Users do not acquire a permanent entitlement to an account or particular feature merely by creating or using it.
21. Third-Party Services
Truecial uses third-party infrastructure and services, including Google, Firebase, Apple, Hetzner, and Cloudflare.
Some Service features may open or interact with independently operated websites or applications.
Truecial does not control the independent operation, terms, content, or availability of those external services.
Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
This section does not exclude obligations imposed on Truecial by applicable law in relation to its use of service providers.
22. Availability of the Service
Truecial aims to provide a reliable Service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
Temporary interruptions may result from:
Maintenance or updates;
Infrastructure failures;
Network disruptions;
Security incidents;
Third-party service failures;
Unexpected technical conditions;
Events outside reasonable control.
Features or Content may sometimes be unavailable while technical issues are resolved.
Truecial may implement reasonable changes for maintenance, security, improvement, and continued operation.
Mandatory user rights remain unaffected.
23. User-Generated Content and Other Users
Truecial hosts Content created and submitted by users.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Truecial does not endorse, certify, or guarantee the accuracy, authenticity, legality, quality, or suitability of all user-generated Content.
Users may encounter Content they find inaccurate, inappropriate, offensive, misleading, or otherwise objectionable.
The intended camera-based publishing process and technical safeguards do not establish a guarantee that every item of Content is authentic, unmodified, or free of manipulation.
Users remain responsible for their own behavior and Content to the extent provided by law.
Truecial provides reporting and blocking mechanisms and may take appropriate action when violations are identified or reported.
24. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Truecial does not guarantee that:
Every feature will remain available indefinitely;
The Service will be uninterrupted;
Every software error will be corrected immediately;
Every user-generated publication is authentic, legal, or suitable;
Every prohibited action or security incident will be prevented;
The Service will meet every user's individual expectations.
These limitations do not override mandatory consumer protections, statutory guarantees, or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.
25. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Truecial and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or similar losses resulting from circumstances outside their reasonable control or from the independent conduct of other users, except where liability is imposed by applicable law.
Truecial does not automatically endorse or assume responsibility for independently created user Content merely because it is hosted through the Service.
The availability of reporting mechanisms, moderation tools, and technical safeguards does not constitute a guarantee that every harmful interaction or unauthorized act can be prevented.
Liability, including any applicable legal limitations or exemptions for hosting third-party information, is determined by the relevant law and the circumstances of the particular case.
These Terms do not exclude liability for intentional misconduct, fraud, or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to impose a general obligation to continuously monitor all user Content beyond the requirements of applicable law.
26. Changes to Truecial
Truecial is a developing and evolving social platform.
Features, interface elements, publishing mechanics, recommendation systems, and other technical systems may change over time.
Changes may be introduced for development, safety, compliance, maintenance, performance, or other legitimate operational reasons.
Where legally required, users will be notified of material changes affecting their rights or obligations.
Mandatory user rights remain unaffected.
27. Changes to These Terms
Truecial may revise these Terms to reflect:
New or modified features;
Security and safety requirements;
Changes in applicable law;
New App Store or Google Play requirements;
Changes in infrastructure or Service operation;
Other legitimate operational requirements.
The effective date and last-updated date are shown at the beginning of these Terms.
Material changes will be communicated where required by applicable law.
Revised Terms apply from their stated effective date.
Continued use after that date may constitute acceptance where legally permitted. Where the law requires express acceptance, that requirement applies.
Users who do not agree with revised Terms may stop using the Service and request account deletion.
28. Governing Law and Mandatory Rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, to the extent that such a choice does not deprive users of mandatory protections provided by the laws applicable to them.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer, privacy, child-protection, or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
Disputes are handled by courts or other competent bodies having jurisdiction under applicable law.
29. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
An affected provision will be limited or interpreted only to the extent lawful and necessary, where such an approach is permitted.
30. No Waiver
A failure by Truecial to immediately enforce a provision does not automatically waive the right to enforce that provision in the future.
Any waiver must be interpreted in accordance with applicable law.
31. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Child Safety Standards, and applicable feature-specific rules, form the rules governing use of Truecial.
Where feature-specific rules differ from general provisions, the more specific rules govern the relevant feature unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Nothing in this section excludes mandatory legal rights or notices.
32. Language
The English-language version is the primary version published by Truecial.
Translations may be provided for convenience and accessibility.
Where applicable law requires information or legally binding terms to be available in another language, those requirements apply.
